Solid build quality and the carry case is handy. The RJ45 continuity tester is fast and the fault finding is clear. The manual could be slightly more detailed, but it's easy enough to figure out.
How to Use
- Power on the main unit and select the desired function (Wiremap, Length, PoE, Scan, or Port Flash).
- For Wiremap or Length testing, connect one end of the cable to the main unit's 'MAIN' port. Connect the other end to the remote identifier if performing a wiremap test.
- For Wire Tracing (Scan), connect the cable to the main unit, select 'Scan', and use the receiver probe to trace the signal along the cable run or at the patch panel.
- For PoE testing, connect the live network cable to the 'PoE' port to display voltage and pinout information.
- For Port Flashing, connect the cable to the main unit, select 'Flash', and observe the blinking LED on the corresponding switch port.
